Arthur Mitchell, BS, LCDC
Arthur S. Mitchell, BA, Ed, LCDC is Board President and CEO at By The Way Community Development Inc. and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. Mr. Mitchell graduated from the University of Houston in Chemical Dependency Counseling and earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts, Education from Jacksonville Theology Seminar.
Mr. Mitchell brings extensive experience in behavioral research methods and counseling theory for alcohol, tobacco, and drug addiction. He provides individual and group counseling to clients participating in our substance abuse recovery programs.
Clients receive comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine the most appropriate recovery services and are supported with tailored treatment plans. Mr. Mitchell also works closely with prison wardens and state agencies to identify individuals in need of rehabilitation and reentry support.
